The Society was legally founded in Naples on April 8th 1991, by a group of researchers working in several Italian towns (Ancona, Bari, Ferrara, Modena, Napoli, Roma, Verona). Seat and legal domicile are in Naples c/o Children’ Hospital III – I° General Hospital, till the end of December 2010.
Association aims
- To promote studies of trace elements in living organisms
- To promote development and standardization of methodology for analysing trace elements
- To promote collaboration between Italian and foreign groups
- To promote scientific training of young researchers
- To promote knowledge diffusion by organizing congresses, meetings and refresher courses
- To promote exchanges of information between National and International Societies interested in the same problems
By Statute “researchers who demonstrate interest in the study of trace elements in living organisms can be admitted to AISETOV”. Admission request, personally signed, has to be accompanied by a curriculum vitae (with particular references to experiences in the field of trace elements). Admission requests are examined by the Executive Board, that will accept or refuse them depending on curriculum vitae“.
